Great chapter (enough that I made sure my 300th review to you... something about round numbers like that is just good karma to all involved). I wasn't too surprised, because you're very much like JKR in that you both follow a very strong structure in all of your long stories, and so I was sure the parents thing was coming. Still, you write it better than anyone else in the fandom, and it still caught me at all the right moments.

Marvelous job! Keep it up.

Fabulous chapter, I really enjoyed it. Your writing truly does get better with every chapter you write... I was rereading Power of Emotion over the weekend, and was just pleased to know how far your writing has come.

Oh, I love fanfiction. Yours especially. It gives me hope for my own writing. :) Can't wait to see how you tie this one all together (loved the perceptions on George, such a lovely detail) in the final few chapters.

Thanks again, and take care.

Chapter 31: Survivors

Another good chapter, although I wish somebody would give Harry some lasting damage.

Keep writing!

Author's Response: You what??? Oh, my goodness, no! Harry already has plenty of emotional lasting damage to last a lifetime. The poor boy needs a break in his favor for a change. ;)

Chapter 32: A New Beginning

Takes place immediately (IMMEDIATELY) after Book 5. What happens if Mad Eye's warning at King's Cross Station has just the exact opposite effect than intended? When things take an immediate turn for the worse, will Harry be able to survive?

UPDATE: Many surprises are revealed, and an emotional day is had by all.

Well, this is a bit extreme, but you write it well. Harrowing. The dreams in particular are marvelously chilling. Good job so far, and do keep up the quality work. Take care!

Author's Response:

Thanks, I\'m glad you like it, despite the rough content.  More and more, I\'ve found that the dreams are becoming more and more involved in the story.  Often times, they give me quite a bit of trouble, though.  Oh well, c\'est la vie of a writer!

 Read, review, and enjoy!

Wow. This was amazing. It was refreshing to see such an honest look at what's to come for the trio - so many people write those stories where they find the horcruxes in a week and are fine and dandy - and this was just so real. The characters are all perfect, and their emotions were so raw. The details of this really pull a person into this, and it's just brilliant in the most horrible of ways. Thank you so much for writing this. I do believe it's the best post-HBP piece I've seen yet. Amazing job, and do take care.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for these kind words.  I know exactly what you mean by "brilliant but horrible--"  I've read several stories that were both horrifying and excellent, and "I liked it" doens't seem to cover it!  It means the world to me that you think my story is one of those.  Thank you so much for taking time to read and review.

Really ace job on this. I enjoyed it immensely, and the unique subject matter took me by surprise (there aren't nearly enough HBP missing moments, and you did this one masterfully). Arthur's characterization was spot on, although Molly fell in and out of character a few times ("Oh, Arthur, I donít want to lose my baby boy without at least saying good-bye.Ē I rather think she wouldn't want to lose her baby boy in any event, yeah?). Still, aside from that and a few missing commas, this was fantastic. You wrote the emotions well, and again I must say I was really impressed with how canon Arthur's thought processes seemed to be, and the life debt thing was interesting. Marvelous work, and do take care!

Author's Response:

Thanks for your in-depth review.  I appreciate your observations about Molly.  When I wrote her distressed comments to Arthur I was mainly thinking of what the boggart did to her in OotP.  If she has such a fear of losing her husband and sons in the war, it seemed to me that she could be just as fearful of--and more likely to express her feelings--losing Ron to an accident or accidental poisoning.

I thought long and hard about the life debt before putting my opinions into words.  I was thinking about what Severus Snape did for Harry in PS/SS. I interpreted what Prof. Dumbledore told Harry about Prof. Snape’s counter-spells during the first Quidditch match to mean that Prof. Snape believed that by keeping Harry on his broom he had cancelled his life debt to James Potter. Therefore, I had Prof. Dumbledore explain my philosophy that way to Arthur.

I\'m very glad you liked my story.

Nice job on this. The sound effects were particularly effective in tying the piece together and making the reader feel as though they're really stuck inside that stupid cupboard. A few minor grammatical errors - unless of course they were done on purpose to get the sound of young Harry - but beyond that, a very good job. Thanks for this!

Good job with this, although it could use a little grammatical work. It was a nice look at what might happen for the final battle; my favorite part was the line, "'Time for the last chapter,' Harry thought, a bit absent-minded." It was perfectly timed, and it made me smile.

Thanks for this, and do take care!

Author's Response:

Thanks for the incentive, ladylarna.

About the grammar, English is my second language, I try to work hard on this but mistakes pass me by. But I promise I\'ll keep trying harder, ok?

I'm going to continue reading and reviewing, but I figured I'd pause here for comment.

Your writing - plot-wise, idea-wise, content-wise - is great, but the grammar needs a little work (and the formatting... you have a random chunk in bold, which you might want to fix). So that's my advice there, because otherwise this is solid and a quality piece.

 Now I'll keep reading! :)
