Hiya! I'm a 31-year-old Buckeye who is addicted to Harry Potter (but hey, aren't we all?) I work for a company that publishes local weekly papers and have gone back to school full time for my MLIS. Most of my peers think I'm insane, and I don't contradict them.

Ginny Weasley is out for revenge against Harry’s annoying nobility complex. Bat-Bogey’s are tame compared to this. Set in the summer after HBP. Warning: HBP Spoilers!

Marvelous! I LOVE the talking watch. I think I would try to break it, too, after a while. Love the little details you sprinkle in, about the tea. Mrs. Weasley was great. And Harry and Ginny -- heh heh. I really liked Ginny.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!  The talking watch was my favorite part :)  I'm blushing from all your comments.  Thank you!!!

I'm sorry that it has taken me so long to respond to your kind review.  Work pressures forced me to take a hiatus for a while.

Thanks again!

Well, I'm not sure I understand why Ginny would call Harry "Jamie," but this was a sweet story. I love the symbolism with the butterflies at the end. I also like how you tell just enough so that the reader knows that something awful happened, probably to do with Voldemort, but not a lot of detail; I don't think the detail was necessary, so nice balance.

Chapter 1: Butterfly Tears

The daughter of Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley goes to Daddy's Day at school. Her father is not around to be there with her physically, but she knows he's in her heart. Kept home with her mother for years... no one recongnizes her as her father's child... Based on a poem called A Dad's Poem written anonymously after 9/11.

That was lovely, Luna! I'm trying to think of something more eloquent, but...this was just lovely. I kept thinking of the families who have lost loved ones in wars, especially with the recent one in Iraq.

Chapter 1: A Daddy's Poem

Heh heh, that was pretty good. I was a bit skeptical when I read the synopsis, but you made it work. The best thing is that while Dudley may have buried the hatchet with Harry, he's still an annoying git. Worrying about his sweets bag when Death Eaters are casting spells all over -- yeesh! Dudley strikes me as the type who, if he put his mind to it, would be a practical joker.

Dolores' Sorrow by Kagome [Mid Teens]

Remus Lupin had always wanted to ask Dolores Umbridge why she hated half-breeds that much. But when he has the opportunity to know, he finds out he really didn’t want to see the skeletons Dolores hid in her closet.

You did an excellent job in creating some pity for Umbridge, not an easy task, but still keeping her a loathsome little toad. I was not expecting the twist with Remus, although I often suspected his answer in the Shrieking Shack about not harming anyone. How would he remember? Well done!

Very funny! Wonder what it is that makes Potions the best class to drop bombshells...the chance for accidents? Hee hee, nice touch! This sounds like the typical rumor-mill/grapevine. I enjoyed this!

I wondered if "Calendar Girls" was part of the inspiration. This is cute, so far. The thought of Minerva, posing for a photo, *snicker*

Oh man, please continue with this, hee hee hee! The rumor mill has started, and nice throwing Dean and his artistic talent in there as a foil to the careful plotting. I forgot to add this before, but nice commentary about our youth and beauty obsessed culture.
