This is by far the most interesting and lore-laden chapter of your fic so far. Elaine of Avalon! I'm not even sure where to begin with conjectures and assumptions. All I know at this point is that I want more...NOW! :)
Harry learns of his mother's past. It is revealed eighteen years after it occurred. Can she help him defeat V after her death? Now find out how this story ends.
Hmmm...even with the supposed information, I wonder why Harry decided to ask Snape for this help?
Hmmm...a few people have been thrown at least slightly out of character here. Not too badly, though, and I can see it working for the story. I wonder how it's going to develop?
Oh no! I hope he's not about to end up in that horrible school the Dursleys pretend he goes to!
Chapter 3...and you've got me officially hooked. This is good writing, easy to read, and I'm looking forward to the next chapter!
I like Tut. I'm wondering, though, if there is more to him than meets the eye? Maybe not...it's not like all the wisdom in the world is confined to wizards.
This is an interesting start to the story. I like the idea that Snape himself set up the blood magic that eventually protected Harry and Petunia from Voldemort.
A quickly written one shot about Harry. Warning for self-harm.
This is a very powerful statement on the importance of caring enough to be involved when someone is going through a hard time. Though I wouldn't characterize Rowling's Harry this way necessarily, you've done a wonderful job with the emotions of the thing.
Spoilers thru OotP. Summer after fifth year. Harry has accepted that Sirius is gone and that he must move on with his life. After the revelations by Dumbledore at the end of OotP, Harry has taken stock of his life, his obligations, and his future. He knows some things must change and knows that he must start with himself. AU after OotP. Light H/Hr. Very mild language.
I enjoyed this one-shot! Way to go, Harry!
Yee haw! WizardTales is back on line. I love this site! You might want to check out the memo I submitted when I saw you were back. Help is help. It may not be too much, but I certainly will do what I can. Mythic77 (aka Bob).
Something I wrote several years ago...just a little 'color' piece in honor of the day think March 17th . At one time I had planned on making it a multi-chaptered piece, but never got around to it.
I really enjoyed this one-shot. The stories about childhoods of the witches and wizards we have all come to know and love as teens are always fun to read, and you've done a great job of capturing Seamus's thoughts as an eight-year-old. I wonder what the secret is?
