This is by far the most interesting and lore-laden chapter of your fic so far. Elaine of Avalon! I'm not even sure where to begin with conjectures and assumptions. All I know at this point is that I want more...NOW! :)

This is an interesting start to the story. I like the idea that Snape himself set up the blood magic that eventually protected Harry and Petunia from Voldemort.

This is a very powerful statement on the importance of caring enough to be involved when someone is going through a hard time. Though I wouldn't characterize Rowling's Harry this way necessarily, you've done a wonderful job with the emotions of the thing.

Spoilers thru OotP. Summer after fifth year. Harry has accepted that Sirius is gone and that he must move on with his life. After the revelations by Dumbledore at the end of OotP, Harry has taken stock of his life, his obligations, and his future. He knows some things must change and knows that he must start with himself. AU after OotP. Light H/Hr. Very mild language.

I really enjoyed this one-shot. The stories about childhoods of the witches and wizards we have all come to know and love as teens are always fun to read, and you've done a great job of capturing Seamus's thoughts as an eight-year-old. I wonder what the secret is?
