Oh my goodness! This could have indeed been written by Mr. Bilbo Baggins! (or Tolkien himself!) Just lovely! Very moving and excellent prose. Thank you for sharing!

Author's Response:

Thank you for reading this poem! I'm so glad you liked it, it was the first LOTR piece I wrote and submitted and I'm sort of fond of it (and like it better than my sonnet, really - must be a hobbit thing, lol) Thank you for the lovely review, I really appreciate it! ~Gina :)

This is simply lovely. It flows very nicely and portrays the authors thoughts well in poetic form. Nicely done!

One very minor technical pickie: Middle Earth should be Middle-earth. ;) Thanks for sharing this lovely poem on the founding of Gondor!

Author's Response:

Ha! Yes, when I finally tried my hand at a story, I looked up Middle-earth. Although, I'll have to go back and double check because I don't think I used a hyphen, hm...so thanks! And thanks for reading this poem, I really appreciate the review, especially from such a talented LOTR writer! ~Gina :)

Both of these are lovely, but A Beggar of Distinction is simply one of my favorite Maglor stories. Wonderfully done, Al!
