Instead of peace and harmony, Voldemort's fall has created a world of uncertainty and chaos. The Death Eaters are dwindling, waging a hopeless battle without the Dark Lord to lead them. The Order is scattered and unalert. From the shadows, a new group of wizards is emerging. Without any apparent purpose, they are fighting a silent war, unknown to the public. When Ginny learns of their existence, she finds herself involuntarily pulled into their hidden world.

Lovely chapter, as always. I'm totally in love with Josef so if you turn him dark or some other such nonsense I'll kill you and then die miserable. And no squids in his future either, he's much too nice for that. I hope that's clear, lol.

Well, about the Veil. Let's see if I got it right: Harry was supposed to be some sort of offering to the thing inside the Veil that would then reward Grigore with immortality? Was this the reason he was so ready to jump in with Harry? Because he knew he'd get out? It was the thing that made the most sense, but I can't quite fit Ginny into the mix... Did Grigore need her for something? Is she part of whatever balance he was trying to bring into the world? Oh, new idea, maybe she was supposed to balance _his_ power once Harry was gone?? No... probably too far-fetched.

I also don't understand why the _thing_ in the Veil affects Harry the same way Voldemort did. Is Voldemort _inside_ the Veil? And that voice calling to him? Why was it familiar?? I really can't picture anything for that...

Well, Grigore is gone, but with the Arch breaking I suppose that thing is now free? If he's the one 'born from atrocity and boundless pain' I'd be more scared about him than about Grigore... Probably much less rational and easy to anticipate... And now they'll have to add the Death Eaters and the remaining Brotherhood to the mix... Ouch! I can't wait to see what will come out of that mess!!

Cathy

ps: Lol, do you think Luna will be happy, now that I've finally reviewed here??

Chapter 24: The Veil Chamber

This wasn't much of an end, you know? I'm just glad the next story is already out, and I might get some answers soon. But what I wanted to saw was that I liked your description if Josef, I completely aprove, and he isn't that different from what I had in mind.

So, Grigore was trying to protect the world from that thing in the veil and ended up being corrupted by it? That doesn't explain why he suddenly turned on Harry, or for that matter exactly why Harry left the Brotherhood (how was more or less explained by Josef selling him out - a matter I'd love to get more details about).

But then, I really don't need all the answers, it's nice to keep the whole thing slightly mysterious. I loved this chapter by the way, I don't think I'd mentioned it... The changes Ginny went through were particularly evident.

Take care,

Cathy

ps: thanks, and it was really my pleasure, lol.

Chapter 1: Prologue: In from the Lake
Voldemort may be gone but evil never dies. Only Ginny can unravel the tangle of hatred and decit that has brought the Order of the Phoenix to its knees. But she is running out of time, for when one goes Underhill, one's magic doesn't work and nothing is as it seems.

Lovelly, as always... I love how you seem to continually mingle bit of myth into your fiction or ancient tradition and history, it makes for such a great background! Loved the bit of family angst between aiden and his sister: can't wait to see how that will sort itself out! I do have one small question: if all it takes to go to Tir-Nan-Og (did I get the spelling right??) are high levels of Akashaik power, Harry should be able to cross too, right? Or is there something else? He could help, couldn't he? Anyway, please keep posting! I can't seem to get enough of you writting, lol. Cathy

Author's Response: Harry can cross, but he is not immune to the 'effects' of Tir-nan-og (as was explained in the first chapter I believe) Whereas Ginny is (owing to the fact that she carries Sidhe blood herself). Does that help?

Amazing chapter, as always. Okay: you explained in the first chapter that those who have Sidhe blood in them usually have high levels of Akashaik power, so wouldn't that include Harry, too? Or does his high levels come from someplace else? Sorry, if I'm asking too many questions, by all means, simply ignore them, lol. Keep up the great work! I can't wait for more! Cathy

So sweet... I loved it, and can't wait for the next bit. Even if it will be a slightly bittersweet bit, being the end and all... *sigh* Why do good things always have to end?? Cathy

Author's Response: Oh, not an ending. Not exactly. Just the end of this series. I'll still be adding bits to the S.S. Potter series from time to time, but the major pieces are done.

Chapter 5: THE HEART OF THE MATTER
The Awakening Power by Sib [Mid Teens]
starstarstarstarstar [Reviews - 15]
Challenges fill Harry’s busy sixth year: growing powers, Snape becomes defense teacher (and Harry’s not in the mood for abuse), a new Potions teacher, a girl with a new crush on him, Quidditch, Voldemort, and a certain redheaded girl named Ginny who may help him through all of it. What are the goblins up to? Will Ron win Hermione back? And what exactly is Voldemort’s diabolical plan to kill Harry and plunge magical society into anarchy? Lots of romance, drama, action and humor!

Wow, I'm SO glad you decided to post here! Your story is, in my opinion, one of the best ever published in HP fandom. I guess now I have an excuse to read it all over agin, lol. Cathy

Voldemort is gone - or is he? Is it possible for the Dark Lord to reach through time and play the final mind-trick on The Boy Who Lived?

Oh no! Oh no... What happened the last time?? Why does he suddenly think it's a dream?? Never thought your last piece would involve time-travel, lol. God this chapter was complex, lol. Can't wait for more! Cathy

Author's Response: *evil grin* just so that I can keep you all wondering what will come next . . . .

Author's Response: Oh no!! Not a Draco/Hermione shipper!! I just heard the song on the radio, and thought it would make a good plot!!! I would never want those two together!!! lol Thanks for reviewing!

I loved the way you started the conversation with Dumbledore: the skirting about the issue made me incredibly nervous... What could possibly bad enough that even Dumbledore didn't want to talk about? The suspence was litterally killing me. Your Dumbledore was perfectly in character, slightly reluctant, but willing to use everything he had to win the war. Loved this whole conversation, really brilliant stuff! I'm not too sure about the other's reaction to Harry's suspitions... I mean, after all this time they should trust his instincts a bit more, no? I can't wait to see how they's react when they see he was right all along! Still... wouldn't his friends at least give him the benefict of the doubt? I love the new development with Percy. I'm not the biggest Percy fan, but you made him into a likable character, a true Weasley. The training session was simply AMAZING. It's very refreshing to see a powerful, proactive, independent Harry, as opposed to the rather too emotional one that sometimes appear in the story. You made him into quite the multifaceted (does that word exist in english? I'm not sure...) character. What else can I say? Hope to see more of him in the future! and I hope the adults continue treating him like Kingsley did. It's rather stupid to throw the fate of the wizarding world in a boy's shoulders and then continue treating him like a regular 15 year old. The end was incredibly sad... that Grawp would turn against his own brother!! Not even kind rather dumb giants are free from ambition! Sad... Cathy
