I am a reader, not a writer
I'm thinking this is only the beginning.
Great party. I can see Harry, Ginny, and Jamie are going to be the trio to beat. I'm glad Sirius is getting what he finally wants, to do things for Harry. We have another new teenager, and I'm betting she'll play a part in what happens. Draco and Dudley are still unknowns. Draco may really be on the up and up and he definitely thinks Jamie's for him. It'll be interesting to see if Dudley really has any magic ability.
Voldy is not a happy camper. He still hasn't figured out he's going to lose.
I wrote a great review on the previous chapter but I don't think it got posted, and now I can't remember what I wrote. Oh well.
Fantastic!!!! Voldy said he would start the war and for once kept his pormise. It's going to be a long one, there will be many casualties, and I am very sure Dumbledore will be one of them. Probably Cassandra, Perenelle and Nicholas also. Is Praetor becoming Harry's Phoenix? I think I mentioned in my review that got lost I thought Fawkes, Pymander and Praetor would maybe match up with Harry, Ginny and Jamie. Not knowing enough Phoenix lore, I'm not sure if that would be possible. At last Ron and Draco Black(yes) have come to an understanding. They may never be close friends, but I think things will be much better when Draco and Jamie become a couple(?). Haven't seend Dudley in a while. Will he be able to do magic? Will he want to do magic? Only time will tell.
I'm beginning to think I have no clue at all. You are doing a wonderful job with this story. I'm more confused than ever about what's really going on. Obviously there was a lot more to Lily and James than we learned in JKR's series. 'Course we didn't learn much about them at all. I can easily believe they were on to something, and would make sure it wasn't discovered before it should be. Did they know Peter would betray them? Or did they already know he was a DE? This thing with Ginny and Jamie is driving me crazier than usual. They are definitely connected. Did Lily foresee Ginny and Harry? Circles within circles
What if the fates that let Harry's parents live the night he got his scar, also gave him a younger sister and let him befriend Ron Weasley earlier? What would be different?
I like the first chapter. Definitely an interesting alternative to the HP series. It certainly sounds like some good humor will be found. And many new and different adventures. At the moment I'm thinking the most fun for me will be seeing Sirius and Remus interact with Harry as he grows up. I've wanted to be Sirius when I grow up since the first time I read POA. I do not, however, intend on growing up and as I'm over 50, so far my plan is working.
Like the 2nd chapter as much as the first. The changes in circumstances of both the Potter's and Weasley's along with the necessary facts from the HP series is well done. I'm looking forward to reading the rest.
Liking it even more. The way you just intertwine the "facts" and your version is great. And I love that Neville's parents are still alive. I can't wait to finish this and start on the sequel.
I am really loving this. Harry is still Harry, but has parents, a sister, the Weasley's as lifelong friends, Neville has his parents. Life couldn't be much better than this for the Boy-Who-Lived. And, that he is not overly impressed with his fame despite everything written about him and the reporters following the family around is wonderful. Of course with the influence of parents like Lily and James and having Sirius and Remus as part of his life, how could he possibly take all that publicity seriously?
I am definitely still liking this story. James, Sirius, and Remus act just about as I would expect. For that matter so does Lily. I like the idea of the girls coming to see Harry play, however I have always had the impression parents didn't bring the younger ones to Hogwarts so the first time they saw it was on the boat ride across the lake. Doesn't mean it's "true", and it is your story.
Leave it to Ron. I like your version. Do I keep repeating myself? Yup.
