I'm a happily married, 38 year old, shameless H/G shipper. I've read other ships from time to time, but not many writers can make it work, IMO. There are a few, but the only one that comes to mind at the moment is Jeconais. Like I said, just my own opinion, and he's the only one I can think of off-hand who has a tendency to pair Harry with female characters other than Ginny, just because somebody said he couldn't do it. I also currently post at FFnet, and SIYE. At SIYE, I'm known as AKA_Hagrid, for those keeping track ;-)

Good stuff, Bryan. The prophecy is an interesting twist on the story. Just out of curiosity, is Dumbledore really as clueless as he appears about 'two become one'? It seems fairly obvious as to what it means (ie Unity Candles used at a certain sacramental-type ceremony). I look forward to seeing more of this one. Bill

Author's Response: shhh.... *conspiratorial look around the room* don't let out all the secrets....

Seriously though, all I can say is that what you suspect is possibly only part of the answer... there is more involved than even what you would guess...

Chapter 5: Chapter 04
One Curious Day by Toughlove [Mid Teens]
starstarstarstarhalf-star [Reviews - 5]
Each chapter of this story will follow a different section of time in this one very curious day. Hermione finds a lot of things about Ron to be very interesting and worth researching. And while Ron is under the watchful eye of Hermione, he finds himself trying to comprehend sudden changes in the way she acts towards him. They say curiousity killed the cat-- but could it do that much damage to a lasting friendship? Or could it send both of them on an incredible adventure? It's amazing what can happen in twenty-four hours, isn't it?

To be honest, I had my doubts about Hermione giggling and Ginny being the make-up artist at first, but it works, strangely enough. The flying scene was really good, though I do wonder a little about her going from scared of flying to loving it, so quickly. It's a nice scene, though. I like it. The thirds chapter, IMO, is the best one yet. I really liked the overheard conversation, with the girls discovering everything flowing underneath, so to speak. I look forward to more of this one.

Chapter 3: With Feeling
Minerva McGonagall and Albus Dumbledore each have a stylish new set of robes. Could it be that they are each trying to attract the attention of someone special?

hmmm...Dumbledore & McGonagall. Interesting. I like the way you bring them together. I have to admit I'd probably be a bit squicked to hear more of the physical details, but it works quite well this way. Very good.

Very sweet, but not overly so. It also shows that Harry comes by his tendency to withdraw honestly. Beautifully written.

Chapter 1: Not the Typical Fear
Ginny's Weasley's third year at Hogwarts wasn't merely spent on the sidelines as she watched the boy she loved risk his life time and time again for the Triwizard Tournament. Her third year was also filled with new friends, realizations, and even a first kiss.

This is Ginny's side of Goblet of Fire.

Once again, I love the relationship between oldest and youngest siblings. Really good stuff.

I love the attempt of the Twins at giving Ginny 'The Talk'. Funny stuff, especially the possibilities if it had continued.

Ginny has her own little Corner in Gryffindor Common Room. But why does she isolate herself there? *Won the H/G first kiss ficlet contest over at MNFF, that was organized by Seeker&Snitch-an H/G club*

Very sweet story, very poignant. The very definition of flangst. very well done. I could feel the way he felt when he eyes speared him. very good stuff.

Author's Response: Thanks so much Bill. It means a lot coming from you! I really aimed for an angsty atmosphere in this one, and I'm glad I achieved that!! Thanks again Bill!

Chapter 1: The Corner

AU - **Warning Spoilers for OoTP in A/N** Harry's sixth year proves to be anything but boring when he recieves a surprising letter on his birthday. Secrets revealed, family lost and found again, and of course H/G fluff.

Chapter 1: The Letter

Personally, I think canon supports the idea of Vernon and Petunia abusing Harry. If nothing else, they neglected him and knew what Dudley and his friends did to him, and looked the other way. They probably encouraged it, in fact. Very well written IMO, if a bit on the gruesome side in this chapter. I think the reactions of Harry's friends are realistic as well.

Author's Response: Thanks so much! This chapter is the one I worry the most about. I've actually batted around the idea of just taking it out and rewriting it, but with responses like that it makes me feel that my creative non-genius (grins) was actually awake when I was writing it.
