That was a great beginning and a nice break to see something normal and nice for Harry. I think you are right on the mark on how the school students seem, for the most part, oblivious to the fact that the war has begun. Unless something drastic happens, often people ignore or kind of put out of their minds as a defense mechanism. The sorting hat's song brought the war back into sharp reality for them, but also strengthened the resolve of some of them. Well done!!

oh. Snape is such a git! So in character in your story!! Many writers try to change him, but he works so well as an antagonist. Draco's secret room to talk with Voldemort is brilliant!

HI! I can't get over how in character everyone is! I liked Tonks' talk with Harry and that Ginny knew just where to find him. I'm off to the next chapter.

okay...this review won't be long...because of the cliffie! Oh, I'm supposed to be getting ready to go away....I'll do it in the morning before I leave...I can't wait to find out what is going on! I'm assuming it's Mrs Figg, right?????

Neat! That was the best first kiss ever! So natural... because teenagers don't discuss relationships and stuff..they just begin suddenly and discussions come later if the relationship lasts. Too many fics go on endlessy about 'should we or shouldn't we' and they are not realistic because teens don't consider those things. Wow, you have really captured impetuous nature of their age group. Off I go to read more! Simply awesome!

Yet another great chapter but I'm not at all surprised about that. I think that Lupin acted just right around Snape. He may be calm, cool and collected, but there is only so much he has to take and he is just taking his responsibilities as Harry's guardian seriously. I think you did that very well indeed. Now that Harry doesn't have Care of Magical Creatures, I miss Hagrid. I hope we get to see him sometime. Great job!

Excellent! I don't think I need to tell you that though, but I guess it's still nice to get reviews. This is so flawless! I hope we get to see a real visit with Hagrid, but I kind of suspect Draco will soon see about that and probably not in a good way...Off to the next chapter of this fabulous story!

Wow! Again, I'm soooo happy I caught this story late because I can just sit here reading chapter after chapter and not have to wait for the next. At the end of the chapter, you mentioned that it took a longer time to come out because you'd overextended yourself...I know all about that! I did a couple of challenges and stuff, but now that summer is here, I'm going to enjoy reading and going out camping and stuff, and I'm put off writing for now. I'm taking some time off as I'm discouraged with it. Maybe the HBP will pep me up. Your story is gving me some much needed relaxation time to read and for that I thank you. You are very talented!

oh, clever little Draco! I hate him...hope he becomes a ferret permanently. I do like Snape somehow.. such an interesting villain...or good guy however you look at him... Poor DD! I don't blame Molly for yelling, but he's been through a lot too. I guess it will just take time for them to come to terms with the horrible news. This was a very clever set up chapter.
