In this version of the Final Battle, Ron sacrifices himself to save Harry, which prompts him to take a "heavy guilt trip." It takes the remainder of the Weasleys and his other friends, including Hermione and Ginny, to convince him that it was Ron's choice, that none of them blame him for Ron's death and that it's time to stop blaming himself.
