I got into writing at a young age but I never thought I would actually write anything longer than a few pages! Little did I know ;-)

I am married, and I run my sewing business in my house. I spend half my free time (willingly) volunteering at my church. I have 5 sons, 2 living, Andrew, Luke, Zach, Toby and Simon. I have a Yahoo Group which you can get to by clicking here where you can discuss my writing. I also post spoilers and answer questions about my stories.

Much love

~ywg

As long as he's in that cupboard, you won't see anything.

Oh wow, that was excellent and a fantastic way to end it. Thank you for sharing that. I've never thought of her along those lines.

Chapter 1: I See Nothing
Crossing the Board by Seren [All Ages]
starstarstarstarstar [Reviews - 3]
There have always been arguments over which piece of the board is the most powerful. Most will say the Queen; she can mimic any move, take any square. Others will say the King; despite his limited mobility, the entire point is to protect your king and capture your opponents. There are any number of arguments for five of the pieces. The last piece, or pieces, are often neglected. They are the front line, the first defence, and the first to fall. All but one. And Ron must see it to the other side.

Oooh, I didn't know that about chess! That's so interesting and so well written that I can't even begin to describe how much. That was a great look into Ron's mind and his thought patterns and how he see's Hermione and Harry and Ginny. Fantastic and thank you for sharing!

I can picture this being Hermione's early life very easily. She certainly got to Hogwarts without much confidence, simply hiding behind her brains. Great job and thank you for sharing this with us. :-)

It's sad that small little comments like that can turn a person's life completely upside down. *sigh* Great portrayal and I hope to see you continue.

Well, it wasn't too angsty and I liked it. Good job.

Ginny Weasely is stuck as Maid of Honor in two separate, highly unconventonal weddings. She's none too happy about the situation, as it only reminds her that she is Without a Wizard. To top things off, she's hungry, and she's not allowed to eat her hat...

Chapter 2: When Escape Plans Go Awry
As the Wall Crumbles by Aequitas [Young Teens]
starstarstarstarstar [Reviews - 4]

She laughs and turns, eyes set on the door on the other side of the kitchen. Her hand touches the doorknob, cold but inviting. Light envelops her as she steps out into her imagination. Open the door, child, her grandmother once said to her. Your imagination is waiting. On a beautiful summer afternoon, a child learns of her two worlds--reality and imagination--and what she must do only six years later in order to keep both in existence.

That was very powerful and very visual. The way you chose to tell the story was origonal and very effective. Great job!!

Author's Response: Thank you so much for reviewing! I rather like the way I chose to write this, so thanks for noticing that. :P Caren.
