I sometimes think of myself as an internet mystic, exploring the ineffable qualities of the internet and trying to become one with it (aka -- no social life). But I spend too much time in my own mind; I get bored, and decide to share what I found there.

During Occlumency lessons in the course of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Professor Snape notices something... off in Harry's memories. Non-Slash.

...wow. I'm glad I went on. This was fantastic. You write Harry's reactions very, very well - and you addressed my concerns about Dumbledore early and well.

Tonks and Shacklebolt were well-written and felt in-character. I get the feeling this is going to be a good read.

Now, if only some of the adults had thought things through in OotP...

So far, so good - I don't know that I'm really believing your version of Snape, but it's not as hard to suspend my disbelief as I thought it would be.

I'm really getting into the story, though.

Good writing.

Argus Filch reflects on his sins, nursing a bottle of hard cider.  His worst enemies and one termagant of a librarian help him through his pain.

*LOL*  I haven't ever thought of Filch like this before - fascinating bit of writing.  I love Irma Pince, and the hints that she's less than a stellar witch.

And Filch and the twins drinking.  That was hilarious.  Awesome writing.

Author's Response:

Thanks, Jayiin, I adore the twins, and it seemed right for them to come back and call a truce with their old nemesis just as the wizarding world was needing to be united.

Isn't Irma a devil?  I sometimes like to think Jo named her after Irma La Douce.

Harry has learned the Prophesy and he does not believe that a schoolboy can defeat Voldemort, so he decides that if he is going to die then he is first going to live.

Kinda a rocky beginning; I'm not sure where you're starting this in the timeline, but I'm interested to see where it goes.

I'm not sure I  like the idea of Harry suddenly turning into an expert on all things Death Eater, but I can see where he drew his conclusions from.

Interesting story.

Farnsworth.  Hah.

Interesting how Harry is just going about his business leaving chaos in his wake.  The 'accidental hero' motif is amusing.

Fascinating butterfly effect you have going on here.  I love how you wrote the Lovegoods.

Oh man...poor Harry.  Australian backpackers?  Ouch.

Fun bit with the Phoenix tears and basilisk venom.
