The daughter of Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley goes to Daddy's Day at school. Her father is not around to be there with her physically, but she knows he's in her heart. Kept home with her mother for years... no one recongnizes her as her father's child... Based on a poem called A Dad's Poem written anonymously after 9/11.

How sad, but I'm sure that the other parents wouldn't be too quick to judge a single mom raising a child.  What a moving tribute to her dad.  Wouldn't her last name be Potter if her parents were married?

Chapter 1: A Daddy's Poem
Following the events, Harry Potter is focused and determined to fulfill a destiny that only he can fulfill. Simple, isn't it? Track down and destroy piece by piece the darkest wizard to ever live. If only things were that simple for Harry. Watch as the his best friends come closer together, the Order crumbles with a traitor in their midst, and the people he cares about the most suffer through heartache and trial. Can Harry succeed, and if he does, will there be anything for him to come home to?

I hope that Neville makes a full recovery from his injuries and that he doesn't become brain damaged from the attack.

Author's Response: I'll talk more about Neville in the next chapter, I promise!

I was amused that Ginny was concerned about her appearance when she could of been killed.  Her recovery will probaly take a long time, where she might have to learn how to walk again, at least she doesn't have to learn how to eat, drink and talk all over again.  I like the concern that Harry shows for her, no matter what she looks like.

Author's Response: Girls are funny that way...

If Ginny goes home, wouldn't they be able to moniter her movements and keep her from leaving the grounds of her home?  Will Harry now have little chats about the war on the WWN?  Harry will probaly buy Ginny the best defense attorney money can buy, who can get her off.

Author's Response: Yeah, that's probably what will happen.

Very clever the way that Ginny set it up, so that Tonks couldn't testify for her in case she ever did get caught.  I wonder if she understood the possible consequences of her actions.

Author's Response:

I doubt she really thought it all through before she left... you'll hear from her soon enough, though ;-)

I like the fact that Ginny is finally home where she belongs and her & Harry finally have their talk.  Mrs. Weasely is right in character showing concern for her youngest.

Author's Response: Yeah, I love Mrs. W!

Good theory on why Snape killed Dumbledore.  What if Voldemort targeted two babies the night that Harry's parents died, and he wanted to make a Horcux from that other baby's death.  Harry defeated him before he could go after the other one.  Would he of made that Horcux later or is he going to target either that child or his parents to make it, unless he's already made it with a later murder.

Author's Response: Hmm... hadnt thought of that.  It'd be intersting.

Good chapter, especially with the way that you have Wormtail save Harry's life.

Author's Response: Thank you!

Chapter 37: Chapter 37: It Begins

This is a story that asks that painful question we all deal with at some time or another:  what might have been.  This is a look at one possible answer, particularly where Harry and Ginny are concerned.

I like this chapter, but too bad you didn't include the part where Ginny, Ron and Hermoine discover that Harry has been keeping a secret that he never revealed, though he might of been tempted during Umbridge's defense classes because it wasn't his secret to tell.  If he told the truth about a great tragedy that happened the last time when everyone thought that the danger of Voldemort was gone, he would of lost a friend and had another roomate mad at him.  I think that Ginny would of loved his loyalty to his friend like that.

How interesting, that most of the story is a dream sequence.
