A forty-something piano teacher and the mother of a kindergartener who loves Harry Potter as much as Mommy does, I love to read and write Harry Potter fan fiction when I'm not practicing the music from the films.

I love these moments when we can see inside a character's head that doesn't belong to Harry. You write Ginny's thoughts and memories very well; her pain is very evident in her thoughts, but so is her hope that she will see them again. You've done a nice job on this little drabble.

Author's Response: Thanks! :)

This is a nice look into Ginny's frame of mind right after the funeral. I'm glad Ginny didn't want to share much of what they discussed private, because Hermione doesn't need to know everything! I just hope that in Book 7 Harry comes to his senses and realizes that he needs to acknowledge that Ginny and her love for him is an important part of what will surely sustain him through his search and the final battle with Voldemort. Well done!

Author's Response: I hope he does, too... otherwise I might have to fictionize myself and strangle him ^.^ And thanks, I'm glad you think we did a good job :D

Nicely done...a little sad, but you've captured the emotions of the moment extremely well. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that nothing like this happens in Book 7.

Chapter 1: Saying Goodbye

This is a oneshot, post-final battle type thing...I wasn't really sure what category it belonged in, so I kind of stuck it here.

The huge lump in my throat is testimony to how good this fic is. You've captured the essence and character of each person involved with a description of their actions that is very accurate and quite believeable. I really liked the paragraphs about Hermione, Ron and Ginny. They were the best, in my opinion. Thanks for sharing this story with us.

Interesting story. Will there be more? I hope so.

Author's Response: Hmm, I don't know about more. But I'm glad you liked it :)

This is really good, one of the best Post-OotP fics I've read. It's incredibly sensitive to Harry's state of mind without being maudlin or mushy; you've captured the essence of Harry exceptionally well. I really enjoyed reading your story.

Author's Response: thank you so much arnel! that really means a lot to me -- i was hoping to have it not be too mushy because that sort of gets annoying after a while. thanks again and im happy you enjoyed it.

So sad! However, I'm glad that in the end Molly was able to reunite with her family in paradise.

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it :) One of these days, I will write fluff on my own... or tey too... o.O

What a sweet story.  I love stories from Hedwig's point of view and tend to come back and read them often.  This is the first I've seen about how she came to be in Harry's possession and her early feelings toward him; it completes the cycle of her life for me.  I hope you'll be writing more stories from her point of view.

Another brilliant poem!  This is the most succinct poem I've read about the beginning of JKR's epic septology. I especially like the first two verses because they put Harry's entire situation into a new perspective; we don't know much about Voldemort's preparations to do away with poor little Harry and your theory is entirely believable.  Well done!

Takes place immediately (IMMEDIATELY) after Book 5. What happens if Mad Eye's warning at King's Cross Station has just the exact opposite effect than intended? When things take an immediate turn for the worse, will Harry be able to survive?

UPDATE: Many surprises are revealed, and an emotional day is had by all.

I've never been a Harry/Hermione shipper, especially since HBP came out last year.  However, I've been riveted to your story since I began reading it and have decided to see it to its end despite the fact that the pairing is not following canon.

I found your description of the shopping trip amusing, especially Harry's embarrassment over finding himself in the underwear department having to answer that rather personal question. That made me smile; however I also wanted to know how Harry felt about being made to try on all that clothing knowing it was all for him.

Poor Hedwig.  I can only imagine what's happened to her and you left us hanging by not describing her condition or how she's reacted to seeing Harry again.

Finally, I'm wondering why Hermione hasn't sat down with her parents and explained Harry's situation.  It's very nice of them to open their home to him but as a parent I would be concerned about what my daughter had gotten our family into by bringing an abused child/teen home with her without even writing for permission to do so in the first place.

Criticisms aside, I hope your next chapter comes out soon because I find myself thinking about this story at odd times of the day and wondering what will befall Harry next in between chapters.
