Hey Joe. I was happy to find your story here. I am a big fan of your work and a member of your Yahoo group who is waiting oh so patiently for you to finish up on Soul. I suppose that's enough gushing out of me for today. While I know that this site tends to have a low review rate, even for a work as wonderful as yours *guess I wasn't quite done gushing*, I hope that you will continue to post your story here as I know that there are many who will enjoy it. One thing that I really enjoy about fanfiction is when an author takes the characters that we all know and makes them dance in a way that they normally wouldn't. I enjoyed the way that you did so here.
While there were a few minor typos, it was nothing major at all. The biggest disappointment for me was that this was just a one-shot. I would love to see you turn this idea into a chaptered story, as I think it could be marvelous (nudge,nudge)

I thought that your name sounded familiar. You wrote "Flames of Betrayal" didn't you. It was a favorite of mine for quite a while and then it just up and vanished from fanfiction.net. If you have your story up elsewhere I'd love to know where so I could reread it.
Chapter 1: One
The now Headmistress McGonagall forces Harry Potter to stay for his last year at Hogwarts. Thousands of miles away, a young woman, born in England but raised in America opens her letter. This woman is thrust into the strange and wonderful as she attends her first year at Hogwarts. But her year is cut short when a former Professor steals her away to be married to her betrothed so that his line may live on. But there are other desires at work in this strange plot, and Harry must stop this plan from coming to fruition. Other wise, all will have been in vain.

Very nice first chapter. I'll admit to having a bit of a thing for HP/OC lately, so this has peaked my interest. I hope that is the direction this is heading or I'll be embarrased. well off to chapter 2.

Very nice as well. A few times it seemed to me that you were overly flowery with your analogies. It was nothing major, but it made it feel like you were trying too hard. Your description of Hera was very alluring, and I think I am beginning to get a crush on her. good job.

Wonderful! I normally don't go in for post HBP fics, but this was marvelous, and I could easily see it as an epilogue to JKR's 7th book. well done.

Hello,
Just read your first chapter. While I don't normally read Marauder era fics, I decided to make an exception. What do you know, I found this very enjoyable. Very nice use of a cliffhanger by the way.
Just a couple of minor things that I noticed. You might want to rethink the use of (with an explanation in it). If you need to get some information across to the reader, explain it through your narrative.
Also, you might want to find another way to indicate a character's internal monologue. Using quotes around both spoken and thought confused me a few times, and I had to reread several passages to figure out what was happening. I find that italics work well for this. Here is an example.
"My bathroom," Greg said as he pointed down the hall, "is around the corner, Stacy." Please tell me I flushed the toilet, Greg thought as Stacy headed to his bathroom.
Like I said earlier, you have a very good start here, and its a very enjoyable read. Well, I'm off to read your next chapter now.
