Well, ehm... Hello?

Yes, hello - or hej [hi] as we say here in Denmark, which is where I'm from if any of you should be interested.

My name is Simone. I’m 18 years old and on my second year in the Harry Potter fandom (it's hard to believe it hasn't been longer than that; the only thing convincing me is the newbieness I tend to show now and then).

The ships you’ll most probably find in my stories are same-gender pairings. I am a Harry/Draco shipper when it comes to the male slash department and when it is about femslash I write Pansy/Luna (though other pairings can catch my interest at times – Ginny/Luna being the most beloved of my not-OTP-pairings).

My writing style after I started writing Pansy/Luna is a bit… odd. I abuse italics and parentheses. Some like it, some don’t. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

So, this is what I will tell you for now, but feel free to ask.

Oh, and do look through my stories, mkay? Femslash is not as bad as it sounds :P Or well, does it even sound bad?

PS. I love comments. I adore reviews. Anything to say about my stories; criticism or praise - please write.

This was wonderful. I always liked the Sirius vs. The Black Family problem, because it's so interesting. Very good job. I loved how her selfishness shined through in every word and I loved the little thing with... carried on with that boy thing. :p Gives me good images. Thanks for a lovely read.

Chapter 1: A Simple Request

"Man is not an end but a beginning. We are at the beginning of the second week. We are children of the eighth day." ~Thornton Wilder In the aftermath of the second war, nothing has worked out exactly the way anyone thought that it would. The end that everyone sought never came, and life, as they say, went on for the children of the eighth day. A collection of short stories about the lives that were changed by the second war. I found this a long time ago through the Mermaid People, but never got around to review it properly. And then I saw that you had updated with two new chapters and I hurried off to read it all again, and am I glad I did. The first time around I was reading another HD novella-lenght story and nothing could compare to that, I thought. Now I read it again, and I must admit that I am completely taken aback by your way with words. Not only do I adore your characterisation of all the characters you present us with (Harry and Draco especially, I write from Harry's PoV often myself and no one are able to write a Draco I really like, but you nailed them both), but your little phrases from time to time, your almost poetic way of describing emotions and stuff. I am completely in love with this story and please, do continue it. It is awesome. I love that you manage to write Harry and Draco in such a believable way - something most HD shippers and writers struggle with for years. Besides that I am just going to tell you that I am in love with your title. I once saw a French movie called On the Eight Day - a movie about a retarded man - and I loved it. The way you use the common view of the Bible and what the Bible says about people who are different and only through the title reminds us of all of this is completely stunning - it adds a whole new dimension to the story itself. Very, very professional and good job.

This was amazing. Wow. I love trauma fic, it's the best kind. Hermione has a very clear narrative voice, even though you've chosen to write it in second person's point of view (which I adore, don't worry). The friendship and need in the Trio interaction is wonderful. So much love for this. So much love.

HAHAHAHA, omg, this was so so so funny. It's wonderfully written and you really get their four different voices clear out. Excellent job. For some reason the last one in History of Magic made me laugh the most along with this:

I’m hotter than all of you.

Yeah, your mass of fat rolls and snoring problem really make me want to spend a wild and crazy night with you Wormy.

I get that a lot.

Best Peter ever. Kind of pathetic but also very amusing. Loved him. Did I say that I loved this? Going to my fav. stories.

Hey JD,

Just finished reading and I liked it for a Harry/Ginny story. In the beginning I thought your Harry made a bit too many "speeches" since the Harry I know from cannon is not all that great with words, but it got better throughout the later chapters and I liked him in the end.

I loved the meeting between Draco and Voldemort. It had a nice flow and your Draco was great (which is quite a compliment coming from me, I've seen the best Dracos in the fandom and yours is somewhere in the top too). Both your Bella, your Snape and your Voldemort were greatly written.

Your Harry/Ginny was not overwhelming sweet, which I'm glad of, since I hate sugar sugar het loving. I loved your Remus/Tonks, it was fantastic. Just as I had imagined them.

Your Ron... well, before I start saying ANYTHING you have to know that I don't like Ron Weasley at all. Actually I hate him and I'm not sure what I thought about your Ron. I liked that he had got more mature, but... some places it simply seemed OOC to me. Your Hermione was great, though.

This was a nice reminder that good het stories are still out there. Thanks for the read and thanks for reading my Harry/Draco. I'm glad you liked. I'm in the process of writing a chaptered Harry/Draco fic, so look out for it.

All love

Simone aka animimares

Author's Response:

hey thanks a lot Simone. I really appreciate the honest concrit you have given and I\'m glad you enjoyed the story, dispite you not being a cannon shipper

I know how hard it is writing Draco. He is maybe one of the toughest characters to write because it is so easy to get him wrong. I have to admit I'm very impressed with how you wrote him. I have read a fair share of Dracos and yours is very, very well written. His relationship to his mother is very well defined and I like that she shows so many emotions when it comes to him.

Your writing style is simply fantastic. Very different to my own, but fantastic none the less (not because I think my writing style is all that amazing). Your sentences are short and right to the point, which really works well with this fic. Makes the atmosphere very tense and the actions almost cut off - like when you watch the climax of an action movie.

It's a beautiful song and you use it very well.

I liked it!

Author's Response:

It was quite hard, especially since I never had before.  I\'m very fond of the relationship shown between Narcissa and Draco, because I really think that there is a strong bond between the two of them.

I\'m also quite glad that you find the style well done.  I try to make my work short and to the point, yet still full of emotion, which can be quite hard.

It is a beautiful song, as well.  I recommend listening to it if you ever have the chance.  I\'m very glad you liked the story :D
