Lady Mortis loves to spend her time writing, reading, studying ancient cultures (not that she knows any yet) and trying to make heads or tails of latin.

She is most fascinated by the inner workings of her imagination and so she writes some fantastical, if not bizaare stories.

Lady Mortis also loves to dabble in stories involving the occult, the paranormal, real life problems (divorce, abortion, suicide, depression), death, romance, and some humour/satire (I try a bit but I'm not very good in that department)

Anyways, Lady Mortis bids you welcome and wishes that you enjoy her imagination.

Chapter 1: Liquid Library
Fly To Dawn by Lurid [Young Teen]
starstarstarstarstar [Reviews - 4]

“So, this is life. This is what it is to live,” she had smiled.

What is life? Is it merely a state in time to which we interact with others, in which we're influenced by others -- or is it meaningless? is every step or action we take nothing in the great scheme of things?

Time patters on, and waits for no one. As humans, we must push to defy the logical boundaries of death.

If we wish to live life.

That was absolutely beautiful. The imagery and the raw emotion that was in the piece astounded me. I was a little confused when the flashback came and went but in the end it all made sense to me. So I just want to say that the writing was wonderful, the sadness not too overdone. Hats off to you. Well done

Lady Mortis

Author's Response: Thanks for the tip about flashbacks. I write how I see, I guess. I'm fairly impatient like that. I'll work on fluidity. Thanks for the review!

Awesome Job and Good Luck on the challenge

Author's Response: Thank you! To be completely honest, I've read only the first few pages of that book, and I needed a good, popular vampire book stat so that was the first thing that popped into my head, lol. I'm glad you liked it. :)

Life is a long and winding road; a journey into the future. The future is straight ahead, beyond the horizon. But in order to get to this horizon, one must stop at an intersection, wait for the traffic to pass, take in the scenery, and then decide whether to turn left, right, or just continue along the same road.

And we're on the road to nowhere...

*laughs* This is a very amusing story. That part about the principal talking to the students reminded me of a time when my Principal made the mistake of saying that being called a rat wasn't a bad thing. It was a Right Action Taken.... *shakes head* That was three years ago and we still don't forget it.... Anyway, you did an awesome job again and I love all of Alex's little quirks. Can't wait for Chapter 3

Author's Response: Thanks!  The principal is a mix of the principal and dean of students at my school.  We call the principal "Sting Ray" and the dean of students "Captain Cupcake" (out of their hearing of course).  If all goes well, chapter three should be up before I leave for Mexico on Sunday.  I think.~KitKat

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!  How old are they?  I honestly never gave that much thought.  I guess they are about... *attempts to do some math* . . . 14 maybe?  As for the next chapter, it is coming along slowly, but it's still coming. :)

The atmosphere you creat in your club is wonderful; how you begin with it being a little oppresive and very strange and then slowly it begins to take on a sensual air, allowing the reader to feel the sexual tension and just the overall feeling that the characters undergo in the piece. It was really well done
