Awwww that was the kind of thing I missed in HBP. Lovely little fic with great insight.
The chocolate frogs sure came in handy :)

Oh, that was sweet! I love the beast shaking his head in shame. I think you captured the more outgoing Harry of HBP wonderfully. And having them stop at the tree where Harry mourned, making it now a place of good memories was touching. I love your plot bunnies. Thanks for sharing them!

This ficlet is awesome! I have no doubt that there will be more one shots written about this missing moments. But I do not believe any will come this close to perfection. Hats off to you Melinda.

As always Melinda, you've produced a top quality story. I loved that they both thought they initiated the kiss--it makes it much more better that way, I think. The chocolate was a great touch, especially how they kept getting messy with it! ;) Was it perhaps a nod to the infamous Chocolate in the Library scene from OotP?
I think JKR did us a favour by not putting too much romance in the book; after all, with the plot of the 7th book already defined with the Horcrux hunt, we'll need the missing moments to keep fanfiction going! I hope you'll provide a few more of them, and I'd love to see your take on the inevitable reunion of H/G.

Author's Response: Thanks! I haven't seen this angle done yet, so I was anxious to get it in, lol. It seems within both of their characters. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes, the chocolate was in honor of the Easter egg scene. I think all H/G moments from now on should include some chocolate ;)
