Again, good character development, and good building of the back story. Quite well done.

I was definitely trying to build characters here, but I'm not sure if I knew, at the time I was writing this, exactly what the backstory was going to be.  I know now, of course, but I didn't then.  It's an interesting thing, authorship.

It is great to see this story revised and back on line. It's a favorite, and one I am looking forward to re-read. The characterization is superbly done, the dialog very much in cannon, and the plot an example of how good fan fiction can be as good as the real McCoy.
