Author's Response: I wrote this when I was writing chapter 2 of the chaptered fic about these two-- which basically boils down to "Severus is so deeply depressed that he can't even get out of bed." So this was the potential light at the end of the tunnel-- and a lot of fun to write. :) The hard part was figuring out how to write him as being happy and yet still himself.
