As for Jack and his wish, I'm not entirely sure. I think it would probably be something silly, almost "wasteful" (or so it might seem to someone who takes these things seriously), just because he's so young--and there might be consequences if he gets what he wishes for. I kind of hint at that when I mention Albus (that would be Albus Severus, not Dumbledore :P), who wished for ice cream and then ate himself sick on it. In my head (and therefore in my Wishing Tree Universe) the tree just knows there's a wish being made, and it doesn't judge whether it's a "good wish" or a "bad wish." And, I think, if a person wishes hard enough to invoke the magic, the Tree will grant the wish, even if maybe granting it isn't exactly the best thing that could happen.
