This is the exact copy of the review I wrote on my blog which you can find at http://godly-and-gasly.blogspot.com/

" I was asked to review the story, written by butter_beer_drinker, Listen to the Time. A wonderful narrative story written from a 10 year old boy's points of view, this story tells us about the thoughts and feelings of the young boy before he receives his first kiss. But before I go on further I would like to ask something. How many of you remember your very first kiss? Heck, does even one remember who they kissed for the very first time? Those of you who don't remember are in for a treat because you are going to be "F5"ed and those of you who do remember are going to end up saying "OMG.OMG.OMG.", "I can so... relate" and the usual stuff.

The 'One Shot' starts with a bang, no slowing down, no speed breakers, nothing. The energy that the start creates is carried throughout the piece. It's a very easy to read and comprehend narrative piece. The writing style is simple, sober and 'child like', just the way it should be.

The story tells about the thoughts of the boy (Severus Snape) who awaits for his very first kiss after falling in love with the girl (Lily Evans) the moment he sees her in the park. How important 'our' first love is, we spend hours thinking about them, making something so special that they will remember for the rest of their lives. The narration is so beautiful and powerful that it makes you feel like you are about to get your first kiss. The eagerness, the anxiety, the fear, the nervousness, and most importantly the love. Hats off to the author, she really got into the character's mind and brought it to life for us!

It will make you go back in time and refresh your mind with your experience of 'The First Kiss' (if you did not have a good first kiss experience, I sincerely apologise). Don't forget to read this story. The author has done a wonderful job in writing the story. The characters are well drawn. Wonderful job butter_beer_drinker, "YaY" for you!

I am really look ingforward for your next, new projects. "

Excellent use of the 'unreliable narrator'.  We know from canon Snape never lets go of his obssession with Lily - and this obssession drives him to be the most horrid kind of failure in life.

The kind that takes out his issues on children.

Well done!

Author's Response:

I have 10 year old myself and I used him and the few thing I have "overheard" him and his friends say about girls to write this.  It was fun.
