This is such a nice, simple story. It would have made a wonderful addition to the Deathly Hallows.
It gives a different view on Snape; one I've seen before and can sympathize with. My problem with Snape is and always has been this:
He spent over a decade tormenting children who had no idea what he had done. He tormented them, mocked them and belittled them for no other reason than he was angry and hurting about his own childhood.
Snape was a hero. He died a hero and without him, the war might very well have been lost.
But I cannot ever think of him as a good man.
I like this one... I wished that Snape would have received some kinda of thanks from the WW at large...
