The idea of using Vernon for your story was simply a touch of genius! I've just met some Snape ones so far. I can't help not feeling sorry for Vernon Dursley. He was awful when his family was with him, and even worse without it. Hey, what a toungue that Lavander has! I run to read the rest, and I can say I already love this story.
