This is pretty good, and given how picky I am about drabbles, you know that's high praise.
It could still be perfected for more impact, and I didn't really like the 'stench of guilt' phrase (it smells bad? just struck me oddly, meh), but this was really good. Cheers for improvement!

Wow! To be honest, it's not often that I enjoy 100 word shorts...but this was really very good...a nice snippet into a very important moment in Horace Slughorn's life. Great job!
