A little confused as to the precise relationship between Hermione and Harry, but not too bad.  Just say they're cousins - that always worked in history, no matter how far apart people were!

It's sad to see your earlier work just disappear.  Could you have left it unfinished, and given a new name to the new work?

 Regardless, I enjoyed this prologue.  It seems to be a portent of good things to come.

What a wonderful prologue, Roy!  :)  It is quite intruiging to wonder what the next moves on the chessboard will be, and I hope that The Dark Tosser (as Bill likes to call him) gets quite the comeuppance, and it sounds like he's going to in the end!!!!

All in all, wonderful train-of-thought progression.  You are developing this rather mysterious character beautifully so far.
