I was very concerned about creating a credible voice for him, so I'm glad you think Ron's perspective was well done. Thanks so much for the review.
You have portrayed Ron 'the strategist' brilliantly. What a phenomenol concept of relating chess to Harry's life
Write again this is probably one of the best one shots i have ever read

Thanks for the kind review--saying this is among one of the best HP short stories you've read given the talent out there is quite a compliment!
You're the only person I've seen yet honestly portray post-HBP Ron. He's not stupid, and I'm thrilled to see something depicting him realistically. There are a lot of chess metaphor stories, but this is the most effective one I've seen (the whole chess metaphor for the astronomy tower disaster was chilling and perfect).
Amazing job. I can't wait to read more of your work.
Author's Response:
He's far from stupid--how could he be and win that chess game at eleven? Its true though, in the months I've been reading HP fanfic in the wake of HBP, I haven't found the Ron I expected. I have posted this story to other archives though, and the one story cited more than once people say shows that Ron is ExcessivelyPerky's Midnight at the Weasley Watch--I'll have to track that down.
Thank you so much for the lovely review!
