Beautifully told ... in a short little one-shot, you got me to care about both of them and to almost feel like I knew them.  My heart ached along with Arx as he knew what he had to do, in order to spare Harmony/Rafe ... and what he must have suffered after that!

Oh wow, that was such a beautiful piece - really moving. I love how you introduced the flashback of how Merrin meets Rafe, that was really well done. I really like Rafe as a character. Where could I find The Tales of Knockturn Alley? I think I'd love it. I was about to cry when he put his wand to her head and asked her what her real name was - that was so touching.

Author's Response: The Tales of Knockturn Alley, as far as I know, are only in Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the author who started it, but I can tell you that mine was probably one of the 'lighter' pieces. Its very much Sin City-esque, the series, that is. I'll try to find out later for you. :) This piece was written in about... hmm... 30 minutes, and I didn't think about it at all hardly when I wrote it, so its surprising that Rafe is so well liked. I adore her. Could you imagine what she'd have been like if she survived to go to Hogwarts? Draco Malfoy, watch out! lol.

Oh, you should make this into something larger. Actually, it stands alone quite well, but I'd love to see more. Really nice job on this, and I loved the part: “How utterly charming! Is this your spawn, Merrin?”

It made me laugh. Great work, so thanks for this! Do take care!

Author's Response: Thank you. I was rather surprised when I received the invitation to write for the series, but even more surprised when this particular story came out of my fingertips. I've started working on something larger, but I'm halfway afraid to show it to James, lol. Because, you know, then he'd bug me to work on Up Against a Concrete Angel. *shifty look*
