I'm not usually a big fan of Alternate Universe stories, but the Mage concept is intriguing. I'm also curious why Solarea doesn't like Dumbledore, which I'm sure you'll explain in time.
Since you say you're willing to take a little criticism, perhaps you should use your spelling and grammar checker. There were a few errors here and there.

Great job! I like your OC, she's very well-developed and cool in general :) The plot seems nice, and the Harry-Hermione-Draco interaction is perfectly captured :)
