I really like the fic so far. I usually dont like a main character other than Harry but this is well written enough that I can ignore that.
This was another really good chapter. I especially liked how you portrayed all the characters and professors.

Wonderful beginning. The descriptions are vivid and the back story is nice and meaty. It was a treat to read.
You might want to cut down on a bit of the descriptions though, as you tend to repeat a few things over and over. Like the History part.
Overall a excellent first chapter.

That was great! I couldn't stop snickering when I imagined Ron's face when Hermione read the poem aloud. I love how you described what Deveroux could sense, all those feelings. I wonder what Snape has up his sleeve, if anything. I love how this started!!
Author's Response: Heh, actually, its my coauthor that came up with the idea of Aurellia sensing different "auras" in rooms, and to an extent, in people. As for "what Snape is up to," oh, a lot of people are going to wonder that, and it's going to cause no end of trouble!

Fantastic job - the dialouge in this is really excellent and it is a very original idea - the characters are so , well, characteristic that I could almost beleive that it was JK writing this and not just a fan.
I am going to be reading the next part and I look forward to it - but for now I would like to wish you a happy new year and only wish you the best of luck for the future and for your future fan fics.
