Ch.3 - - I like this Luna a lot! I want her to be just a flakey as she is, but not. You've succeeded at that. - Ireally liked the only two to ever get higher grades than Hermione.

Author's Response: Personally, my take on Luna is, flakey or not, she's very intelligent, or she wouldn't have goten into Ravenclaw. In some ways, she's also the perfect counterpoint to the pragmatism the others can sometimes have. She also reminds me in a way of Tom Cullen from Stephen King's The Stand. I think that what's going on below that dotty exterior is a highly active mind, constantly seeking out information, making connections others wouldn't. While she's doing that, she spares very little attention to the outside world while she's doing that. If you've read The Stand, you can see that Luna operates at a much higher level than poor Tom. A level of magnitude or two, actually.

Ch.1 - - I greatly appreciate the character fill you created that made Arthur Weasley such a generour societal benefactor. I wish i'd done that. It's so like him, and Molly, and for no one to ever know, even his children. That's so well done. Intermixing POVs is not that good except in romance writing. It's tough to do well even there. You've done a terrific job of it. i particularly like the train of thinking. Everyone talks to themselves, just some people do it out loud. This is obvious fluff, but high class fluff, or perhaps elegant fluff or adult fluff as opposed to adolescent fluff. Terrific!

Author's Response: Personally, I think Arthur Weasley is one of the most overlooked characters in cannon. To me, it seems that, with as long as he's apparently been with the Ministry, as head of a department no less, a bit incongruous that his salary wouldn't reflect that. That, along with his obviously giving nature, suggested this solution. As far as the intertwinging points of view, that's been one of the biggest challenges for me. I'm glad to hear that it works. I've followed the debate that comes up from time to time regarding exactly how mature Harry and Ginny sgould be portrayed. In my opinion, with the things they've each faced, they're not children anymore, no matter their chronological age. As such, I think they'd approach a relationship in a much different way than most people their age. Thanks!
